Farmhands is the education component of our work and serves youth, families, the community and emerging farmers and ranchers through the following education opportunities.
Summer Programs & Day Camps for Youth
Guidestone Colorado’s summer Farmhands camps make every summer unforgettable! From Little Sprouts to two-day overnight camps, each session offers hands-on activities and outdoor adventures around unique themes.
Community & Adult Programs
In addition to providing education programs at one of our partner sites in Chaffee County, Guidestone would love to bring our education programming to your school or community. We have a variety of topics we can offer relating to farm, garden and ranch education through engaging, hands-on activities and lessons. Interested in an Apprenticeship or Internship?
Guidestone seeks high school students to be education interns for our 3-day garden and ranch camps every summer. We are looking for applicants who enjoy working with younger kids and are friendly and willing to support and encourage campers throughout all activities. Interns will lead team-building activities for a group of up to 20 children (ages 5 and up).
Farm to School Sites
Guidestone’s Farm to School Program grows and procures locally grown, healthy foods for district cafeterias and provides curriculum connections both in the classroom and through experiential farm and ranch field trips.
