Hutchison Homestead History & Guided Tours
The Hutchinson Ranch was established in 1868 when pioneers Joseph Sykes Hutchinson and Annabel McPherson settled and started raising cattle. Six generations later, the Hutchinsons are still raising cattle on the same land surrounding the Homestead. For more information and to schedule a tour visit Hutchison Homestead & Learning Center.
Youth Programs & School Field Trips
Guidestone Colorado’s Farmhands Education Programs provide experiential programs for youth and families at the Hutchinson Homestead. Single-day programs and multi-day camps engage participants in hands-on learning opportunities focused on current ranching practices, the cultural history of the homestead, and traditional skills of pioneers as well as the life of the Ute People before and after the advent of pioneers in the area. All classes are hands-on and active, with a variety of age-appropriate activities in every session. Find out how to Book a School Field Trip.
AgriSummit Conference
One of the most inspiring agricultural events of the year, the theme of Guidestone’s 11th Annual AgriSummit Conference is Restoring Connections: Rooting Down & Reaching Out. We’ll highlight the many deep-rooted and widespread connections at the heart of the local food systems. The event will offer educational sessions, networking opportunities, and discussions focused on local food production, food access, and agritourism in our region. For More Information on the AgriSummit Conference.
