Access to fresh, local food is important for the health and well-being of our families and community members. It is also central to the mission of Guidestone Colorado. Buying and supporting locally grown food supports our local farmers and ranchers, the local economy, provides health benefits, helps to reduce environmental impact, and…local food tastes better! It also helps bring the community together and gives us all the opportunity to make a difference.

Below is a directory of local farms, ranches, and food suppliers in Chaffee County and western Fremont County. Are you producer, or do you know of one, who should be added to our list? Please contact [email protected] for more information. Thank you!

Sweet Pea Farm

Our High Altitude Honey comes from the Flattops Wilderness area of Northern Colorado. At 8,000 to 10,000 feet elevation the nectar of the wildflowers gives this honey its own one-of-a-kind flavor. Delicate, like the high mountain flowers, with a hint of citrus. Our Alfalfa-Clover Honey comes from the pristine hay ranches along the Yampa River Valley. Being a relatively unpopulated area we are assured that this honey is as close to organic as possible. Also available: Pollen and beeswax. Ginger, cinnamon, wild orange and lemon honeys infused with certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils. Creamed honeys and honey sticks. Lotion bars, lip balms, and salves.
Triangle Oasis

I run a small-scale commercial operation here in the valley that grows mostly salad veggies. I have an organic fruit CSA where I resell fruit from western Colorado. I also roast chilies and create value-added products seasonally. You can find my products at the Salida and Buena Vista farmers markets, grocery stores (Simple Foods and Lettucehead), food hubs (Valley Roots and Bunny & Clyde's - formerly Gathering Grounds) and a local restaurant base that fluctuates. I plan to open my farm for on-farm sales with a "Midweek Market" on Tuesdays or Wednesdays starting in July. I open my space to all and love to barter. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
