Pruning Workshop & Community Conversation

Thursday, March 10th, 2022 10 am-12 pm

with an evening Conversation at Soulcraft from 5-6:30 pm

Join Montezuma Orchard Restoration Project (MORP) for a hands-on AgriSummit pruning workshop in a historic apple orchard on Thursday, March 10 from 10 to noon. Dress for the weather, wear boots, gloves, and glasses. Bring water and a snack, and a sharpened pruning tool if you have one. MORP will provide extras.
Orchard location: 2280 County Road 4, Howard, Colorado.

Directions: From Salida, on Hwy 50 after you pass Black Bear RV resort about 1/2 to 1 mile, turn right or west on Howard Creek Road, which is also County Road 4. This is just before KT Sales and Excavating. Go approximately 1-3/4 miles and watch for 2280 in green on a power pole on your left, about 1/4 mile past the Canterbury Ranch sign on the left. Turn left and proceed to the orchard.

COMMUNITY CONVERSATION

In the evening after the workshop on Thursday March 10, join MORP and AgriSummit friends for a community conversation at Soulcraft Brewing in Salida, Colorado from 5:00-6:30 PM. Slideshow presentation on Colorado’s fruit-growing history begins at 5:30 PM.
