Description:
We are a market garden farm located in rural Dolores County, a thirty-five minute drive to the cities of Dolores and Mancos in the four corners region of the state. For seventeen years we have grown non-certified organic vegetables and sold them to community members through a CSA, farmers markets and our local food cooperative. Our land is twenty acres of pinyon juniper woodlands, grass pasture and orchards and gardens. We hope to connect with a younger couple who are absolutely passionate about gardening/farming and animal husbandry and want to cultivate these skills along with many others that are involved in operating a small farm. We are open to the possibilities of communal land ownership. Understanding that it takes several years to build this foundation, we are looking for a couple that would be willing to apprentice for several years, paying us a small apprenticeship fee to live and learn with us.
